Excellent
Thank you so much for sharing your mission and
our missionary with us. We appreciate the
pictures and the dialog along with them as well
as the newsletters. This website is truly
excellent and heart warming to say the least.
We knew our daughter was safe and well cared
for, but this truly confirms our feelings. It
really helps to peek into the life at the CTM.
We know she is in good hands. Thank you so
much!! Love, Sister Georgia Richey

Thank You!
Sister de Paula:
I know you are busy so I will make this note
short, but I had to share the excitement of our
family when we again visited your web site and
quickly noted that you had uploaded additional
photos. As we viewed each photo in succession we
came upon the one you had included of District
25B in their classroom. There in the middle of
the picture was our Sister Asp...what a treat.
You made our day, thank you. I have read your
newsletter entries as well and find them
fascinating. Thank you for providing a little
window through which our family can share in the
activities of the CTM.
All the best to you and yours,
Brother Asp
ps I want to know where the store is that sells
those chocolate covered strawberries on a stick :)

This is a fun site to visit and see the
experiences of the missionaries and yourself.
Would you mind posting a picture of District 23-A
for me? Thanks for all you hard work and
dedication.

Thank You
Sister DePaula,
Our daughter Jodie, Sister Vidinhar, has shared
your email address with
us. We wanted to thank you for all you have done
for our daughter.
Jodie is our oldest and only daughter and it was
hard to think that she
was going to be so far away, even though we had
faith that she would be
in good hands and the Lord would take care of
her. You have truly made
her time at the CTM memorable and very special.
We are grateful for
your love that you shared with her and the great
example and friend you
were to here. She truly has been blessed to have
you there. God bless
you. You truly are special!!
Love,
Bruce and JoAnn Vidinhar

Thank You!
Thanks for sharing your website with us. It was
exciting to see a picture of our son, Elder Ryan
Huber, as he was working in the computer lab. It
was also a pleasure to read your commentary about
Brazil and the Mission Home. I know it is
couples like yourselves that give the sisters and
elders a feeling of home and parents. Keep up
the good work and may God bless you.

Greetings
Thanks for this web site. It was good to see
where our son is living and the good traning he
is receiving. You even has a picture posted of
him. He is in district 23A. Keep up the good
work and may the Lord bless you all.
|
Thanks. Fun to see our son.
We have been through the whole website. It was
fun to see where our son is spending the first
nine weeks of his mission. He is Elder Dallin
Lewis in District 25-B. Thank you for sharing
these experiences with us.
|
Wonderful!
This site is fabulous. It's so great to see
Elder McKeen working hard at the language lab
and joining in the choir with district 26e. I
will definitely be checking back often for new
posts. Thanks so much for giving us a chance to
see Brazil's Missions from afar. It especially
makes Elder McKeen's dad happy, since he served
in the Sao Paulo South mission 28 years ago!

We love Brazil all ready
Thank you so much for taking the time to share
your life and the lives of our missionaries with
us. Our son is the one playing the piano in your
picture of some elders around the piano, Elder
McBride. This is our 4th son to serve a mission
and we have never had this kind of communication
before. It does not ever get easier to send you
son into this wonderful service for 2 years but
it is so reassuring that there are so many
loving people surrounding him in Brazil. We will
check this site often and have e-mail it to our
whole family of 6 children and many grandparents.
They will all be thrilled too. Love Pat

District 26 rocks!
Thank you for sharing the mission on a website.
Our daughter, Sister Angela Grigg, says nothing
but wonderful things about her time there. It
is so exciting to be able to see her with the
people she's come to love and tells us about.
Sister Grigg.

What a wonderful thing you are doing!
I just visited your website for the very first
time and saw our son's picture in District 26-A
(Tom Hooke). He was excited to let us know
about this site, and I can see why. Thank you
so much for taking the time and effort to do
this--what a wonderful service you are providing
for all the missionaries' families!! It made me
cry to see the picture of Tom's district that
you posted! Having been a missionary, as well
as having taught in the Provo MTC, it also
brought back many great memories of special
times. God bless you for your kindness.
Sincerely,
Lori Hooke

Great pictures!
I love this site! The picture of Dist 26-C is the
best! Thanks for sharing!

What a blessing!
Thank you so much for doing this great service
for the families of the missionaries! What a
blessing for us to be able to see the places,
events, and people that our missionary writes
home about! Our son is in District 24A, Elder
Patrick J. Bauman, and your comments regarding
the week that they entered were helpful in
understanding how that numbering system comes
about. It was so exciting to see his picture!
My cousin's daughter, Sister Jennifer Noland,
came in the week after he did on June 16th, but I
haven't seen a picture of her district. The
funny thing is, they don't know about each other
being there yet...they are like 2nd cousins once
removed or 3rd cousins and we just found out
about the two of them being there together at an
extended family reunion. What fun it will be to
for them to find each other! :o)
I really enjoyed seeing the pictures of your
visits to the surrounding area and your
commentary is fun and informative! It's so
interesting to see how people from other
countries live, and what they eat, and what kinds
of things they do for recreation.
Thank you, again, for allowing us a glimpse of
the world where you are currently living, and for
your great service to the missionaries in the
CTM! May the Lord bless you and your husband!

Thanks a lot!!!
Thank you so much for putting pictures of my
missionary in distract 26B (Elder Jones. Your
web sit gave me a better understanding about what
the CTM looks like. The pictures made me so happy
to see how he is doing. I can't tell you enough
how happy that made me to see him. Thank again!!!

Awesome pics
Thanks for the great picturs of the missionaries. My brother-in-
law is in 26C and it's good to see his happy face!
|
Thanks
Thank you for taking the time and effort to give
families and friends a glimpse inside the Sao
Paulo MTC. It was very good to see a picture of
my daughter, Sister Erin Bowen, in her disrtict
27C picture. We obviously miss her and
appreciate anything that we can learn about what
and how she is doing while gone. Thanks again,
Greg Bowen

Great site
Your website is great! Thanks for taking the time
to create and maintain it. It's interesting to be
able to see the CTM and the country where my
brother will be serving for the next two years.
And the links to the "missionary-friendly sites"
are helpful, too. I've been looking regularly at
your photos, but haven't seen any of district 25A
or Elder Whetstone...could you please post one?
Thanks, Kelli Jones

It was fun to see the ctm in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
There is probably no greater place to be for the
sister and elder missionaries. I know that my
sister, Sister Holmgren, has loved the people
there and the place. Thank you for sharing those
pictures with us on this site. We enjoyed seeing
her along with her companions.
|
You made our day!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for putting this site together
and sharing these photos and comments. How
exciting to see Sister Janalyn Holmgren with her
companions! We are so grateful for your care and
love in this endeavor. It is wonderful to see
where the missionaries are, what it is like and
who they are with. Sister Holmgren shared this
site with us. We will be checking it often. Could
you put a picture of District 27B on your site?
Thanks you so much. JoAnna Holmgren

we love this
It was wonderful tolook at this web sight. Our
son, Elder Tosh K. Rymer, entered the CTM July
8th. We've had problems getting any E mail from
him, and finally received a leter yesterday, but
He hasn't received all of ours, and Only one
He's sent has gotten through. We're most
anxious to hear reguarly and would like to know
what we can do to expedite our communication.
Thanks for your service and your work on this
websight. This is so great! Have a wonderful
day and thanks for your help! Chaton
(rymersrock@netzero.com) and Gary
(grymer@hotmail.com) Thanks! p.s. We'd love
to see our son :)
|
Thank you
Thank you for your efforts in putting these
photos together and letting the families share in
their missionaries MTC experience. It was great
to see my son Elder Jacob Hulse with his District
29A after only 6 days in the MTC. It was good to
see him smiling. Again thank you for this link
to our missionary

Thank You
Thank you so much for this wonderful site. It
was such a thill when best friend, Elder
Harbuck, told me to check it out and look for a
picture of District 26C and to leave a comment.
I would likewise greatly appreciate any other
pictures you have of that district! Thank you
again!

D28 missionaries
My son Ryan is there in 28D, He tells us that it
is the best distoric in the CTM. So if they are
the best I'm sure you can work in a picture of
them.
Thanks
Rick

Hey, Family and Friends of Missionaries!
Be sure to check BOTH MISSION WEB SITES! If you
can't find your missionary, it's because you
didn't read the LARGE PRINT at the bottom of the
FIRST PAGE of the address he or she gave you.
These web sites only hold 50 pictures and I have
MANY more than that! :-)
|
Thanks
Thanks for sharing your great pictures of the
CMT. It was fun to see our missionary in one,
and also get an idea of where he is living.
Thanks for sharing - especially the candy jar!
|
YAY!
Thank you so very much for putting this all
together. It was such a pleasure to learn about
the CTM and to see the Sisters and Elders there.
I know a few serving in Brazil and it was so
great to see their faces and see what they have
been up to. Thank you again!
|
What fun for a 6-year-old sister to "spy" her
missionary brother, Elder Tyson Stokes-District
24A, on your website. We appreciated seeing the
places and faces of the CTM, particularly the
kind faces of President and Sister Ostergar.
They had the terrible task of communicating the
unexpected death of a grandmother to our son.
Their tender words and inspired teaching helped
him keep a missionary heart with greater desire
to teach the Plan of Happiness, even when it's
hard. Pictures tell wonderful stories and bring
Brazil a little bit closer to home. Thank you!
|
great track
The track that the church built for the
missionaries is great! What a remarkable
difference to the whole community to have that
change and what a blessing to the missionaries.
|
MY BOY IN 25-C
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE PICTURE. IT MAKES ALL
THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD TO SEE OUR MISSIONARY
IN A PICTURE WITH ALL THESE OTHER MISSIONARIES.
A WEEK AND A HALF IS IT FOR HIM IN THE CTM. THIS
SITE IS WONDERFUL. TOO BAD THEY DON'T HAVE ONE OF
THESE IN THE MISSION FIELD. THANK YOU SO MUCH. IT
HAS MADE MY DAY!
|
Thank You!
Our son, E. Daniel Pratt, is already out in the field in the
Brasilia Mission, but I loved your website and
especially the photos of the missionaries. He entered
the CTM on September 10, 2003. He is currently
companions with E. Acklen, who was mentioned in your
Christmas newsletter. They are working hard and
having success in bringing souls to Christ.
Thank you for letting us peek into the life of a senior
couple. What a great mission--helping young
missionaries! Keep up the great work.

Hello from Brazil
Hi, Brother and Sister de Paula!
I'm from Americana, Brazil, but my wife and I
have some good friends in Curitiba. I'm also a
Translator (not that experienced; I've just
graduated, few months ago), so it would be
wonderful to have a chance to chat and get
some advice from you guys!!!
Congrats on your nice website and on your
Missionary Service. What an admiring
experience, isn't it?
Um forte abraço,
Fábio, Adriana and Allan Lucas

I've been home from my mission for over two
years, but seeing all of your pictures and
reading your comments brings back all of the
fond memories of Brazil and the MTC. Thanks for
your wonderful web site! I love Sao Paulo like a
second home and it was nice to reminisce.
|
Thank You!
Thank you so much for a look inside the CTM.
Our son, Elder Roskelley, just entered the CTM
last Wed. Aug. 4. It was wonderful to get to
see where he is and to read your newsletters
about life at the CTM. Thank you!
|
what an awesome site
I just wanted to let you know how much fun it
has been for me to read/view your site. My son
was in the CTM from August 6-October 2003 and I
loved the details you provided in your
newsletters which added to what our son has told
us about that experience. Knowing you are
responsible for the mail delivery was especially
fun as our son gained the nickname "Elder Mail"
while he was there. I also loved the
piano/choir portions of your newsletters since I
play piano and have a great desire to serve a
mission in music someday. This whole site just
made me smile! Thanks!
|
Great MTC Pictures!!
Great pictures of the Sao Paulo MTC. It is fun
and enlightening to be able to get an inside look
at the environment where our son is serving and
learning. It was especially exciting to see our
son, Elder Esplin, in the pictures of District
26E. Thanks for you efforts in posting the
pictures.

My Dear Sister de Paula!
I just wanted to write and tell you how grateful
I am for you. You cannot imagine how much relief
you have given me. You are such an angel and I am
so grateful to know that there are people in
Brazil who are there to help bless Tyson's life
as well as his family here in Utah. I don't know
you personally but I feel so much love for you as
you are serving so well in Brazil. I love your
web site and am also grateful for that. It was so
fun seeing all of the boys as well as around
parts of Brazil. You are doing a great service to
those of us at home. I have told some of my
friends who have sons in Brazil because it was so
comforting to be able to see some of the things
there. I was not aware of this website. Are there
any others I should be aware of? I feel like you
are a mom there for those young men. I am
teaching a lesson tomorrow in YW on Service and
if I can get through without too much crying I am
going to share our experience of the great
service that you provided to me and my family.
Sometimes, it may seem like small things but they
can make a world of difference to those you
serve. The song "Angels Among Us' by Alabama says
it quite well. Thank you again for little things
that mean so much. I hope that we can keep in
touch. Love, Kim

Thanks for picture!
Thank you so much for the picture of District
#32B! We have been watching for the first
glimpse of our son since we found this website
the day after he left and we are thrilled! It
really helps us to see how happy and well not
only our son, but all of the missionaries, look.
Thanks for your time and efforts. We REALLY
appreciate it!

THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!
To the DePaula's,
I would like to say thank you very much for
helping my son, Elder Southwick's stay in the CTM
so much fun. He can't tell us enough how much he
has appreciated you and how you have helped him.
He left the CTM on Tuesday the 17th. I hope we
hear from him soon so we will know where he is
but I just wanted to tell you how much you are
loved! See you in Lehi when you get home. Please
let us know when you are home from your mission.
Thank you so much!

Question about mail
Hello!! My son entered the MTC in Sao Paul on
August 11th, so he is very new! I was wondering
if you have met him ye? Elder Stephen Ballif?
My father in law, Jae Ballif knows the Ostergars
who are also there and I think they met Stephen
already.
I have really enjoyed looking at the photos,
hoping to see one of Stephen! it looks so
beautiful there. Thank you for this website, it
is wonderful of you to do this.
We received our first letter from our son
yesterday which was lovely, but he said that we
are supposed to send packages to a different
address. I had just barely mailed him his
allergy nasal spray (Flonase) by Global Express
(US Postal Service) in a global express
envelope, but had sent it to the MTC! Do you
think he will get it? I am worried about it now.
Please let me know what you think.
Sincerely, Jacaline Ballif

Back to Japan
Sharon,
I love your website so much that I'm going to
emmulate it with one of my own. Especially as I
begin the odyssey back to Japan later today.
This will be my last year there, but hopefully
not my last year teacing for the dept of
defense. I love my job! Who would have thought
that this college professor would fall in love
with teaching 12 year olds all day, every day?
But it's my calling in life. I just love that
age group. We have so much fun in my class, and
I get great things from them all, even the
little stinkers. God Bless you and Lin in all
you do. I'm so happy to know that Nicole is
doing so well. What an unbelievable first year
of marriage for her and her husband. * I can't
wait till next June when we are both home and
can share photos and hugs and lunches together.
I miss you.
Love, Kelli
|
thank you for keeping my brother close!
What a blessing to see Elder French at home in
the CTM. I'm a little more confident about his
safety and happiness when I can check in
and "visit." I enjoy getting to know all of the
other missionaries as well.

Missionary in District 25C
I just heard about your wonderful web site
today! I loved reading about and seeing all the
things my son neglected to tell me. He left the
CTM for the Sao Paulo South Mission on August 17
and apparently you have taken down the pictures
of his district (25C Robert Crosbie, arrived
June 15). Would it be possible to e-mail me any
photos you might have of him or his district. I
would appreciate it very much if you could.
Thanks for your wonderful work.
|
Gratitude
Dear Elder and Sister dePaula. This is a great
website. We as parents of Elder Kyle Dan
Abplanalp, are so grateful to have you in the
CTM to help teach and inspire him. He is from
Vernal, UT and just arrived Thurs. 8-19-04! He
is a wonderful son, and very obedient! We know
he will love you, and we are so excited to see
and learn about the CTM where he will be living
and learning for the next 62 days. Please give
him a hug from us.
Love to you all,
Kim and Cheryl Abplanalp

Thank You!!!!
Thank you for your wonderful site. Our son, has
been gone 7 days and seeing a picture of him
there was such a wonderful feeling of comfort
for the whole family. He looks just like the
warrior we sent off. Excited to do the Lord's
work!! Dillon, if you see this, we see your
courage and know you've already given someone a
famous dillon bear hug. We send our love, Mom
and Dad,and all

Pictures
I love seeing the picture you have post on this
site it really helps to see where our son is at.
It would be nice if the pictures could be
changed more offen maybe once a week?
|
Thank you!!!
What a great site this is! Thank you so much
for all of your hard work and dedication to
making the Brazil CTM a visual treat for so
many!
|
Thanks Mom!
I just read the Aug. newsletter. I sat and
laughed and cried as I read of your mission call
experience--not that I didn't already know. It
was neat to hear it again. It's awesome what
you've done for all these missionaries and their
families. I wish there would have been something
like this for me when I was on my mission. Love
ya!

Hello, my son Kenny Achter is preparing to serve
his mission in the Brazil Recife area in Dec. He
is excited and a little scared. We are all very
excited for him. He is from Layton, Utah.
|
Obrigada!
Aloha Elder and Sister de Paula,
My name is Nii Kinikini and I thank you so much
for letting me reminisce about my days in the CTM
from 28 October 1998 to 24 November 1998. I am
glad they have a track for the elders and sisters
to use. I had the privilege of attending the
Provo MTC for one month and then finishing in the
Sao Paulo CTM. I realized how spoiled we
were/are here in the U.S. It humbled me to see
the difference in places, which help prepare me
for the brasileiros. I am originally from Laie,
Hawaii, however, I have been a resident of Salt
Lake City, UT. I often listen to the portuguese
translation during general conference. I am not
sure if you know my cousin Bertha Samoa, she just
joined the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on Easter
Sunday. Sorry, one last item. My husband and I
was at his cousins house witnessing and being a
part of his missionary call. We had our
devotional and we went around the room and said
where each of us served. When it was my turn, I
said "I served in Riberao Preto, Brasil . . . and
Inoke Hafoka (prospective missionary) will get
called to Brasil." THen he opened up his call
and I was in tears. He is called to the Maceio,
Brasil Mission. He will enter the CTM on the
15th of December. I am so glad that I will be
able to show him the pictures and let him know
that he will be in good hands. Thank you again.
Sister Nii Kinikini

Thank You
My oldest son, J.J. Haglund, is about to leave
for the Sao Paulo MTC on Sept 21st, prior to
serving in the Recife mission. Having your
website to help orient his parents has been a
helpful and inspiring experience. Your stories
are very touching. I am near tears as I feel the
spirit of your testimonies and recall the
experiences of my own mission 20+ years ago
(although Provo and Paris are quite different
from Sao Paulo and Recife). I hope JJ gets a
chance to meet you, and you him. We will be sad
to see him leave, but are thrilled to have him
serving a mission. We all know it's the best
place a 19-year old could be.
|
They made it safe & sound
What a thrill is was to go to your website this
afternoon and see a picture of my son & daughter
sitting next to each other in the orientation
meeting!!! It brought tears to my eyes knowing
that they made it safe & sound. Plus Sister
Corkran has a new dress on, so that indicates
that at least one of her suitcases arrived
safely. They just left yesterday morning, to
arrive today (Sept 15), So I didn't expect to see
a picture so quickly!!!! Thank you! Thank you! It
really helps those who watch them leave.
~Peggy Corkran

thank you
Hello, thank you very much for posting the
mission photos. I had the opportunity to see
pictures of my brother on his mission. You are
doing a great thing for many people around the
world. Thank you so much, and keep on doing
what you do. If you could, please post more
pictures of District 32 D. I would love to see
my brother, and I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you so much.
|
Thank you
I love and appreciate this site. I will be
entering the Sao Paulo CTM on October 20th 2004
and will be serving in The Sao Paulo South
mission. I love all the work you've done with
the site, especially the pictures. It was
especially fun seeing people I knew in the
pictures. (Elder Zach Bateman and Elder Tim Rae
for example) Once again thanks for the time and
effort for my enjoyment. I'll see you in the
CTM.
|
a little more relieved
My son left on Tuesday for the MTC. I feel very
mixed emotions from this adventure he has been
chosen to embark on. But seeing this site and
where he will be spending the next while is a
great relief for my soul. Thank you for posting
this.
|
We haven't seen our son yet!
Dear Sis. DePaula,
We have so enjoyed your pictures and comments; it
has made us feel like we are there with our son,
Elder Lamb. He told us a picture of his choir
practice (I think)was going to be on the website,
but we have never seen it come up. Now he will
be leaving right after General Conference, and we
are very sad to not have "seen him" on the
website yet. He's in District 32-D. If you have
any of that district that you could put it up,
we'd surely appreciate it! Thanks for all the
good you do with the missionaries there. They
love you!
|
Thanks
Thank you for sharing the photos. It looks like
the missionaries keep really busy.
|
Thanks
Thank you very much for all your efforts. We
appreciated the pictures. Our son Adam entered
the CTM on the 18th of Aug., 2004. Your
pictures were the first chance we had had to see
him.
Thank you also for being apart of the leadership
of th CTM. Will you please pass on our heart
felt thanks to everyone there, for your service
to the Lord and for caring for our children. We
are able to rest more easlily knowing they are
in such loving and caring hands.
|
Thank You!!
We are so pleased to see this site. Our son, is
Elder Bryan Keith Workman, Phoenix Arizona. We
need to know if He can send us his voter I.D.
registration number. We would love to see him on
this site. As parents we find great comfort in
seeing pictures of his enviornment. It would be
most helpful to see dates on these pictures. We
think we saw him on orientation day seated by
himself in a group of new arrivals, but because
of lighting in the photo we are not sure. Thank
you ever so much for this sight, it is MOST
comforting. WOW!!!!!!!
We have not yet heard from anyone except our
son. We also have two different addresses. One
sends our letters to SLC for bulk mailing on
Fridays, and an address directly to Brazil. Of
course, we want to send packages also. Please
advise of appropriate addresses.
Warm regards
Rozanne Workman

You are the best!!
What a fabulous service you are providing. My daughter,
Amber Orosco, will arrive on December 29, (Rio North) and
I can hardly wait to see the photos of her time there. This
website is such a great idea. Thank you so much for all the
time you have spent organizing and maintaining this
website! Your love for the missionaries is so evident.
|
Elder Bryan Workman
Thank you so much for having this site. I love
to look at all the pictures of the area, so when
my son writes to me, I have seen the spots He
speaks of. I appreciate seeing my son at the MTC
via this site, and know He is well.
I am still learning the what, where, and how of
sending stuff to my son. Any advise is welcome.
Thanks everyone, we're in this together.

New pictures!
Hi there!
My son Elder Ballif will be leaving the CTM on
Tuesday 12th October with his district 33A and I
was wondering if you had any last pictures of
them that you could share.
We have really appreciate all of the other
pictures on your website and the newsletter. It
has been so wonderful.
Thanks for helping the missionaries during their
time in the CTM.

Thank You
I actually wanted to say thank you for this
beautiful website. My Elder,Elder Hansen, is
there now and I got to see some of the pictures
he is in. Robbie, Elder Hansen, is just such a
great example to me for so many reasons. Him
going on a mission, has been helping me to want
to be stronger into the church and to want to try
to understand the scriptures more. I am just so
proud of him for going on a mission. I know he
will grow so much spiritually and I look forward
to seeing it from him when he returns home. Thank
you so much again for this site. It make me able
to feel like I am still with him every step of
the way. So thank you. Michelle Power

former canyon view ward members
Dear Elder and Sister DePaula:
It has been a long time since we have seen you and
what a wonderful surprise to have an opportunity
to see a picture of our sweet friend Elder Austin
Hadley and to find out that it was our other sweet
friends who manage this wonderful website. It
looks like you are having an absolute terrific
experience working at the CTM. Our prayers are
with you and all of the missionaries. Tell Elder
Hadley we love him and we love you both and are
grateful for our association in the Canyon View
Ward with you. Onward ever onward. Love, Steve
and Gina Larsen

Kudos
What a wonderful start to the weekend! I got on
the internet this morning and saw a picture of my
happy missionary, only three days after he left
us. Thank you so, so much for providing us with
visual reassurance that our missionaries are in
good hands and have really arrived safely. I
know its asking a lot, but give Elder Dye a hug
from me if you happen to see him!!
|
Thanks from Elder Ryan's Mom
Sister de Paula, Thank you so much for the
photos! It was just what a mother needed to
know that her son had arrived safely. I surely
do appreciate all you do "mothering" those boys -
I mean Elders and Sisters! I check in every
week. Thank you!
|
I LOVE YOU
Thank you so much for taking the time and sharing
these photos of these great missionaries. Of
course Elder Disbrow in District 40C comes in the
top of our list. I really appreciate the time and
effort you do for these boys. You are in my
prayers. I love you and once again Thank You!
|
Thank you for sharing Elder Derrick Larsen with us!
Brother and Sister de Paula, thank you so much
for allowing us to see our missionaries. It is
difficult to let them go, especially when they
are going so far from home. I appreciate you
taking the time to keep your website up to date
so we can see how our sons are doing.
My first missionary, Elder Derrick Larsen left
on October 22nd. I came to your website to
thank you and was again rewarded with a picture
of him and his parting district with Sister de
Paula. This missionary Mom thanks you from the
bottom of my heart!

thanks for the intro. to Brazil
thanks for putting together this wonderful web
site....i feel like i know where my son is,
thanks to your newsletters, pictures etc. he flew
in this week,i know he's doing well and with
people like the depaula's, he's in good hands!!

Thank you
Thank you so much Sister dePaula for this
website. My son, Matthew, recently received his
mission call to Brazil Sao Paulo East mission
and will be arriving at the Brazil MTC on Feb 2,
2005. Your website has given me comfort of
knowing what his experience will be like.
Matthew and I have learned what to expect when
he gets there. I served in the Argentina Buenos
Aires North mission (from 1975-76) and know a
little of South America. However, things have
really changed and your website helps to see a
lot of what he will be doing and going through.
Thank you for helping this mother to feel even
better about sending her son so far from home.
My eldest son is currently serving in the
Oklahoma Tulsa mission and seems far away as it
is, but South America! Wow. I am glad you will
be there when he arrives so he has one thing
familiar - YOU. I feel like I already know you
from your website.
By the way, Matthew has sung with our ward choir
and wouldn't mind learning more by singing with
one of your groups. (We are better group
singers.)
Thank you again,

Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A HUGE thank you to this wonderful missionary
couple who post these pictures of our sons and
daughters on this site. I have heard about it
through my Missionary Moms email list and looked
not really expecting to find my son but I did and
came completely unglued. It really hit me that
he is gone and I won't see him for 2 years. He
looked happy and well so I thank you from the
bottom of my heart for a glimpse of my Matthew.

Ahhhhh........
So wonderful to see a picture of my son, Elder
Sam Stewart, in District 45B only 3 days after
leaving Oregon. (He's the giant on the back row!)
A sigh of relief to see his smiling face along
with the others in his district. Again, THANK
YOU so much for posting these pictures so
quickly. It helps so much to see their faces.

Missionary - 3 days old
Even thought you receive the call telling you
your missionary made it to the Brazil CTM, a
picture is worth a thousand words! It was so
awesome to see a picture of our missionary,
Elder Andrus - 3 days old, and he's smiling!
Thanks so much to the DePaula's for this
wonderful service.

Obrigado
Queridos Irmaos,
Obrigado por terem feito este site. Passei no
CTM em Dezembro de 1997, no segundo grupo
de "split-training." E um edificio magnifico. E
muito agradavel poder ver suas fotos recentes.
Felicidades,

Thank You
Dear Elder and Sister De Paula,
Thank you so much for this web-site. I was so
concerned about my boyfriend Braun, and then I
saw his picture on the web-site. This helped to
ease my and his mother's concerns. Your web-site
is truly wonderful. You are so sweet to have
made it. You'll never know how much a simple
thing like this web-site can mean to so many
people. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Elder Nathan Jacobsen
We really enjoy seeing the pictures of the
missionaries and the Sao Paulo Training Center.
We await with anticipation any pictures of Elder
Jacobsen and his district. Thank you for the
time and effort you devote to this Website.
John and Nancy Jacobsen

Elder Skyler Holman
We are so excited to see our Son Skyler's Picture
on the website! It proved he is actually there!
Thank you for all you do to make it a great
experience for him!
It was fun seeing sites from the CTM and around
the City!
|
Elder Nathan Jacobsen
Thank you for posting pictures of the
missionaries as they comprised different choirs
at the MTC. We haven't received a letter from
our missionary but we saw a picture of him on
your webpage. Thank you for comforting the
hearts of anxious parents.

Week 47
I love this site! It is fabulous for a first-
time missionary mom. I also work for the Sandy
Fire Department in Sandy, Utah and it was so fun
to see the fire station. I am trying to figure
out how to email it to my firefighters so they
can see it.
Have you posted a picture of the missionaries
from week 47 yet? Thanks so much for all the time
and energy it must take to keep this wonderful
site up and running.

THANK YOU!!
I feel so blessed this evening to have found your
website. I just put my son on an airplane
yesterday for the sao paulo MTC, and I was a bit
teary eyed tonight, worrying about his welfare.
I found your website, saw the beautiful facility
and the happy faces of the missionaries, and my
heart was comforted! Thank you so very much!

Look for Grant
PS if you happen to meet a handsome young man
named Grant Wills, give him a big hug from us!
Thanks so much again.

Wonderful!
Your site is WONDERFUL! What a gift of love!! I
am so grateful to be able to see my son and know
that he is truly there and to be able to "tour"
around the CTM and get a feel for what it is like
there. Thank you with all of my heart! Michelle

44-b
My brother is currently in the MTC - district 44-
b. In his letter to my mother, he told her to
visit this site to find a picture of him. Both
my mother and I are unable to find anything on
44-B. Maybe we aren't looking in the right
spot? Any suggestions? Thanks. (I know my mom
would really like to see the picture. : )
|
Thank you
I sure enjoy the beautiful pictures you place on
this site. It helps us to feel familiar
with 'incredible' Brazil. Our son, Elder Bryan
Keith Workman, is enjoying his first area with
Elder Daniel Pratt. Funny, Daniels' folks live
in Arizona also, and know our family. Elder
Pratt has made Bryans' transition an incredible
experience. We don't worry about our son.
Thanks for all the work and love you lend these
missionaries.

Thank You!!!
Thank You for this great web site.
We were able to see our son Elder Brandon Huston
from District 46A before we even received a
letter from him. You don't know how much we
appreciate the work you are doing. It was great
to see a picture of him happy eating lunch on
Thanksgiving. We loved the pictures of the CTM
and surrounding sites in Sao Paulo. It made it
easier for us to understand what he is
experiencing while in the CTM. Keep the
pictures coming!!!
Thanks Again, Brian & Carol Huston
|
Thank You a thousand times!
Having sent our first son into the mission field
just less than a month ago and wondering about
what his life is like at the CTM, you can
appreciate my tears of graditude and joy seeing
his picture and all the other pictures on your
site. You have warmed the tender hearts of two
parents of a new missionary. God bless you and
yours! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
|
It's still a fun site....because you're there!
Too bad Chile doesn't have a site like this that
I know of, but Lari's son Dixon, my grandson,
will be home on Christmas Eve at 4:30 PM. We're
excited! Your Christmas Mall pictures are
beautiful. I didn't know you were so talented.
I've told several people about your site. Great
job.
We're going to your house tonight for a
party...too bad you're not going to be there.
We'll miss you again.
Love, Aunt Janice

She Loved the CTM
Our daughter, Jerah Patterson, district 42-A just
left the CTM on Dec 13 for her field of labor--
Porto Alegre North. Though I never saw a picture
of her on your website, she spoke about you
both. She loved playing the piano for the CTM
choir. Her CTM experience has set the whole tone
for her mission and we are grateful for the
wonderful senior couples who make this truly a
positive home away from home experience for these
young missionaries. Jerah is the 7th missionary
in our family, our baby (or as she says, the 7th
born) and I have so much deep appreciation to
senior couples for their time and service to
young sisters and elders and to their Savior.
Someday soon my husband and I plan to join you
and other senior couples for the ride of our
lives!! The Pattersons
|
Thanks!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience
and photos with us back home. Our son Elder
Ivins arrived today at the CTM. He is excited
to serve in Brazil. Elder Ivins Grandma (Norma
Peterson) has told us about you and the
wonderful things you are accomplishing at the
CTM in Sao Paulo. Also, Our Stake President,
Craig Wilkins speaks so highly of you and how
you have been a blessing in his life. We look
forward to checking the website and learning
about what our son will be doing in the CTM.
Thank you again for all that you do!
Mark & Lynnette Ivins

Thank you. My son has been there for a month now
and he just told me about your site. it was nice
to see a little about the mtc and especially to
see his picture. Thankyou for your selfless service.
|
Thank You
Thank you for this wonderful web-site. Our
daughter, Sister Zirbel recently arrived at the
CTM and it is marvelous that you are taking the
time to post the information and pictures so we
can keep up with her, and see a little bit of
her surroundings. She is working very hard, and
taking the mission rules seriously, as she
should. So it is comforting to take a peek into
her life at the CTM through your web site.
Thank you, and God bless you
Love, Rich and Debi Zirbel

New Missionary
Sis. DePaula,
Your website is great! My son Elder
Matthew L. Mitchell from Roosevelt, Ut just
arrived at the CTM on Dec. 15th. We haven't
heard from him yet so I don't know what district
he is in yet. I hope you will be able to post a
photo of his group. He will be serving in
Ribeirao Preto. If you happen to see him,
please blow him a kiss from his mother! Have a
very Merry Christmas there in Brazil!
Love,
Julie Mitchell - Roosevelt, Utah

Thank you ever so much.

Awesome site for missionaries headed to the Sao Paulo CTM
I found out about this site as I was browsing on
my mission's alumni website (Brasil, Campinas).
This is awesome. I served in Brazil just before
they started sending everyone to the Sao Paulo
CTM. But my sister was recently called to the
Porto Alegre Norte mission and leaves for the
Sao Paulo CTM on January 4. I'm very excited to
share this site with her so that she can get a
taste of what's in store in a few weeks. I love
the pictures and commentary about the CTM
experience. Great Stuff. Keep up the good
work. Oh and be sure to post a picture of my
sister, Rachel Miller, along with the other
newbies arriving. That would be fun to see.

Christmas present
Thank you for the wonderful Christmas present! We
knew we would not be able to hear from our son on
Christmas, but we got to see in pictures what
would have required thousands of words to
describe. Thanks for the picture of his district
and scenes of the CTM and Sao Paulo. It further
fuels the desire to go there ourselves. God bless
you in your work. Love, Sharon Asbury

Wonderful!
It was so wonderful as a "new missionary mom" to
see a picture of my son 3 days after he
arrived. It was a great assurance to know he
was there for real. I have a friend who was
looking forward to a picture of her son, but for
some reason you didn't post pictures of week 50
yet. Did you take some pictures of those new
missionaries? Thanks!
|
Part One and Part Two!
Dear families and friends, so you won't be
disapointed, please be sure to carefully check
both parts of my MTC web site. Because the
Zoomshare allows only 50 pictures, it was
necessary to add a link to get to PART TWO. The
sites are not necessarily in chronological order,
as both change frequently. Also, please, please,
please click the pictures to make it full size so
you can actually find the missionary(s) you want!

Very Interesting
Hi, I am Amanda LeFevre's Mom and I have just
visited your site. Thanks so much for taking
the time to "show" us around. I enjoyed
looking at the pictures and hope that Amanda's
picture will soon show up on your site. It is
very comforting to see the missionaries and the
surroundings that my daughter is experiencing.
Keep up the good work. Love Ya, Sister Alleman-
(Elder Alleman and I are serving in the Idaho
Pocatello Mission. I am President Bricknell's
Secretary and Elder Alleman is the Financial
Secretary.) Don't you just LOVE missionary
work????
|
Thanks
What a wonderful surprise to see the photo of district 53B
posted just a few days after their arrival and of course, the
best part was seeing my daughter, Sister Orosco, smiling at
me. Thank you, Sister de Paula!

New missionary!
Dear Sis. DePaul,
Have you seen district 51-B? We hope they
are alive and well.
Thank you for this great website and all your
work & efforts!
Love, Julie Mitchell

Wonderful, Just Wonderful
With Elder Matthew Jacquier being our 3
missionary, I thought this would be easier. It
has been because of the love and care you show
for the missionaries. We loved seeing the 3
pictures of our son. We love seeing the
pictures of all of the wonderful missionaries.
Your work is given me (and I'm sure many others)
a glimpse into the current lives of our children
who are dedicating their lives to our Father in
Heaven and His son, Jesus Christ. Thank you for
the website and for everything else that you do
to help and bless His children. Thank you
Brother and Sister De Paula

Aloha!
To dear Sister de Paula,
I'm not sure if you remember me but my husband,
Mel, and I came to visit the Ostergars last
year. We just loved Brazil, especially the MTC
and the many wonderful people we met such as you
and your husband. I had such a fun time looking
through your website, it is just real cool! The
pictures are wonderful. It was so fun for me to
look through the photos of Rio and Iguassu Falls
because Mel and I visited those places. You're
not just a good webmaster, you're also a darn
good photographer.
Thank you again for having this beautiful
website and sharing it with all of us.
Much love, Amor

Thank You So Much !!
Just a short note to THANK YOU for such a
terrific web-site. I have just been introducted
to this fun & exciting website. My son (Elder
Jacob Stone) is serving in the Belo Horizonte
East mission. He arrived in Brazil on Wed. Sept
8, 2004. I havn't been able to find any
pictures of him yet, but I have really enjoyed
all the other pictures anyway!! THANK YOU SO
MUCH FOR ALL THAT YOU DO ! THANKS A MILLION !

Thanks for the pictures
Thank you so much for posting pictures of the
missionary groups as they arrive to the mission.
I have a daughter and a son their now. It is
very comforting to parents to see that that their
children are there and smiling with all the other
missionaries. I also love the pictures of the
facilities which help us to have a little more
insight into what things are like there. Brazil
looks very beautiful and warm. Again, thanks for
the comfort. Sister Verhagen
|
Thanks!
Hi Elder and Sister DePaula --
Thanks so much for what you are doing with our
missionaries. Our son leaves Arizona to join
you there on January 25, 2005. I love the
pictures of the new missionaries arriving and
you can be sure I will be on your website
watching for his group to show up!! You are a
comfort to missionary moms! First time we're
sending one straight to Brazil. Our older two
children also served in Brazil, but split their
MTC time between Provo and Sao Paulo.

Wonderful Site
Elder & Sister de Paula:
I served my mission in the Sao Paulo South
mission in the late 1980s and fortunately have
been able to return to Brazil many times for
work (I'm an attorney). During my last visit to
Sao Paulo in August 2004 I was hoping to come by
and visit the MTC, but it did not work out. I'll
probably be back in a few months and hopefully I
can find some time to slip away from the
meetings to pay a visit. I loved my mission and
have loved staying close to Brazil. My wife, who
served her mission in Ecuador, is a Brazil nut
like myself. I've taken here there two times,
and she loves it. Keep up the good work. I love
to see the progress of the Church in Brazil
through your pictures and wonderfully written
newsletters. Take care, Jeff Eddington

thank you!

|
Thank You!
Thank you so much for your web site. Our son,
Elder Brett Larsen, arrived at the MTC on the
26th of January. Can you tell us how he is.
Will pictures be posted soon?
|
Thanks
Thank-you for all of the work posting the
pictures and information. We have enjoyed very
much the pictures and comments. Particularly
those of our daughter Alaina (Sister Jordan.) It
made us feel like we were a little closer to her
and knew more about what was going on in her
world. We found the website with a picture of
her before we heard from her, so it was
comforting to know that she was there and happy.

Always Amazing Us!
Hi Mom! I always knew I had such a beautiful,
caring, selfless, talented, hilarious mother!
What a blessing you are to so many loved ones
around the world! What a blessing you are to us!
Thanks, Mom and Dad for all you do! We love you!
XOXOXOX Tiff

Aloha to my son Chubby Fonoimoana
Thankyou so much for allowing us to see our
missionaries in the CTM. Give my love to my son
and I saw him in his Lavalava dancing the haka. I
hope he is spreading the Aloha Spirit there in
Brazil and working hard to learn the language of
his Grandmothers family. The Church is true and
ALOHA!

Pictures
Thank you for posting a picture of my son, Elder
Curtis Tonks, in the District 5B photo titled "A
Visit to the CTM: A Happy Bunch!" I was
pleasantly surprised to see his smiling face the
day after his arrival. You are performing a
wonderful service for friends and family
memebers who are wondering about their
missionaries. Keep up the good work.

Elder Perry Laulu
It was awesome to see a picture of Elder Laulu
at the MTC!! Everyone misses him at home very
much!! We love him and are very proud of the
things he is accomplishing!!! Please keep
putting up pictures of him, that would be
great!!! WE LOVE ELDER PERRY LAULU!!!!!
Thanks, Missy Elliot and Crazy Carrie!!

my elder's picture missing
I love this site--however, I have been all
through all the pictures and did not see my son
or his companion in any of them. He entered the
CTM on November 23, 2004. Are those pictures just
not posted yet?

In the Family
I am the aunt of a new Elder,Stanley Taylor, who
arrived yesterday. My father served in Brazil
beginning in 1948. His name was Stanley Taylor.
Our family is moved by the fact that the newest
Elder Taylor will be serving in the same land as
his grandfather and namesake. We are looking
forward to seeing his smiling face in your
photos. Thank you for your service.
|
Thank-you from Arizona
Your web-site gave us great peace of mind. We
just sent Elder Stanley Reed Taylor to Brazil
and found your web-site before he left ....we
were so relieved to know that he wouldn't be
lost in the miles between us. It made a real
difference to be able to look forward to seeing
him with his district and today we did see
him....smiling and with his hand on the shoulder
of the missionary next to him. Of course we made
all kinds of predictions, where each elder was
from and which one was his companion etc. so now
we look forward to his letters informing us and
setting us straignt! I just wish each training
center and mission could have someone do the
same service for them. My sister would love a
little closer feeling with her missionary who is
in Provo soon to leave for Uraguay. Thank-you
from Arizona...Jeanette Taylor

Thank You
Thank you very much for this wonderful website.
We have enjoyed seeing all the Elders and
Sisters. We were excited to see our son, Elder
Daniel Saunders District 2b. Like most parents
we would enjoy seeing more of him and his
District. Thank you again!
|
We love Elder Stanley Taylor
It was so nice to see my brother's shining face on
your website. My daughter had to say goodbye to
one of her favorite uncles. She is only 2 1/2
years old and she saw the picture and pointed
right to him. She thinks it is neat to see his
picture on the computer.....Thank you for your
time and your computer skills hard at work

Week 1 2005???
Our son is in group 1B, but it looks like the
photos skip that week!
Is there any chance you have them? He has a
digital camera and has not been able to send any
pictures. Thank You

BEFORE POSTING A COMMENT...
Parents, families, friends...PLEASE look
carefully through the pictures and the
information on the web sites - BEFORE posting a
comment! Photos of ALL CURRENT MISSIONARIES are
posted on Part One and/or Part Two of this "extra-
service-to-you" web site!! Thank you.
|
Thank you
Sister de Paula. Thank you so much for taking
the time and effort to post these pictures so
quickly. As parents of a newly arrived Elder in
District 7, it is reassuring to see that he is
actually there, smiling, with other Elders and
everyone else in the CTM. Your efforts bring
reassurace to hundreds of families and we love
you for it.
|
Thank you from Hawaii
Dear Sister de Paula.
We found your site a week before my son left for
his mission to Brazil. We were so excited to
see all the photos of Brazil and the MTC. Your
news letters made us feel really good because we
knew that our son would be well taken cared of
by such wonderful people like you. My son
entered the MTC on Feb 16, 2005 and we just saw
his photo on your site. How excited we were to
see his picture! His name is Elder Fuchigami
from Hawaii (District 7c).
We are so glad that we found this site. If it
were not for this site, we would still be
wondering how my son might be doint in the MTC.
He looked very happy and that made us feel
comforted. Thank you so much for making this
site. We truly appreciate you and your
husband. Please keep up the great work.
|
Thanks a million
Thank you Sister de Paula,
It was very nice to see the changes to the CTM. I
am also happy to say that Elder Hafoka and Elder
Fonoimoana's families were also very excited to
see the pictures and hear news of them and to also
know they were able to use their talents in a
Christmas Celebration. Thank you so much for all
you do.
|
greetings
Pres and Sister De Paula, I don't know if you
remember Bonnie Richins Miner and I, but we
remember you. We are thrilled that you are
serving there, and look forward to serving also
in the near future, maybe three years. good luck.
|
Thank so much
How exciting to view a Photo of our Elder and
his disrict. It felt like we were allowed a
sneak peak in to the center. Our's is the
handsome one in disrtict 6a. Our Other son
should arrive today. Yes We have twins in
Brazil. Thanks again Az. Hyer Family
|
thank you, and hello neighbor!
Sister DePaula (Sharon),
You probably remember me as little Sally Fowler
from next door in Lehi. I'm happy to say I've
grown up and thanks to you, I can see from your
wonderful photos, that my son, Keros Lowder,
(district 7d) is alive and well at the Brazilian
MTC. Thank you so much for creating this web
site! I can't tell you how much it meant to us
to see his photo there--and then to see that an
old family friend created the site. My twin
sister Suzi, reminded me that we took piano
lessons from you years ago. Congratulations on
your wonderful service and the recent marriage
of your son. I will says prayers for Ardell and
your family members' health. My family lives in
Northern California, near Santa Rosa, and feel
blessed to have a son on a mission in Brazil.
He's a good boy, with much vocal talent I might
add--a definite recruit for your choir. Thank
you again for the gift to us of this wonderful
site you have created and thank you for your
hard work in creating it and maintaining it.
May God's choicest blessings be yours.
love, Sally Fowler Lowder. (by the way, our
son, Keros, is the 19th Fowler grandchild to
serve a mission--I feel so grateful for Don and
Betty, my Fowler family and my "Lehi/hometown
heritage")

Thank you
I loved seeing my wonderful nephew (Elder Lake)
on your site, it is so comforting seeing him in
the CTM smiling and full of the spirit, keep
that camera snapping! Holly Saunders

Thank You
Dear Sis. DePaula:
Thank you so much for this wonderful site. My
son, Lance Anderson, is in District 7B. It was so
great to be able to see his smiling face. It's
hard sending your son to a country you've never
been to and then for two years. But through your
site I feel like I have "visited" Brazil and can
be excited and happy for him and the growth he
will experience. Thanks again and I hope that you
and Brother DePaula know what a great blessing
this site is to many families.
|
Thanks for the pictures and journal
Sis DePaula, I'll add our thanks to those of
hundreds who appreciate your efforts so much. It
really brings us closer to our son and his
experiences there (Elder Trent White smiling in
front row of 7A's picture!). Our oldest son also
served in Brasil in 02-04 and was at the CTM too.
We were privileged to be able to return to see
Rio, SP and his mission (BH East) with him last
March so getting a 2nd SP CTM missionary was
great as we can relate so much better this time
around to the country, people and spirit our
Elder will experience. Thanks for watching out
for our sons and daughters, sharing your words,
taking great pictures, and keeping that important
mail flowing smoothly. You truly have a
wonderful, blessed calling. All the best.

Oh No!!!
My Son will be checking in five days after you
leave and I was looking forward to seeing his
picture on the site. I hope someone will pick
it up and take pictures of the new elders. I
also wanted one recomendations for socks and
shoes. What brands hold up and feel good. Is
there a favorite among the missionaries of
Brazil? Thank You for all your hard work,
Jackie Rasmussen, Wisconsin

Picture of Elder Carl Hagen
Hi,
I love your site. I was hoping to find a good
picture of Elder Carl Hagen who came through the
CTM probably in August or Sept. I believe he is
serving in the Sao Paulo East Mission. Would
you happen to have a good picture of him in the
CTM in your archives somewhere. He has sent me
a few pictures of himself but his face always
seems to be in the shadows. I actually met him
when we met his family in Denmark last year,
attending the Temple Dedication. My son had
served in Denmark so we were there with him.
Anyway...I figure all missionaries can use
letters, and I got in the habit when my son was
serving his mission, so now I'm writting about 3
missionaries.
Again I really enjoyed you site...and I may take
advantage of the quick mail service link...the 3
to 4 week turn-around sure makes it a long wait
for answers to questions and such.
If you could possibly e-mail me a photo of Elder
Carl Hagen, I would be very grateful.
Thanks So Much!

I have a question.
Dear Sister de Paula,
I have a question and I am wondering if you
could help me on this. My son has entered the
CTM on Feb 16 and he wrote to us on the day he
got there. We got his letter on Feb 24. It has
been almost a month since he left Hawaii and we
haven’t heard from him since then. My question
to you is, “How long will a letter take to get
to the United States from Brazil?” Since you
work in the mail office at the CTM, I thought
that you might know the answer to my question.
We are dying to hear from him. I believe that
the missionaries there are using a pouch mail
system to mail out their letters to the US. I
hope our son is writing to us and it just takes
a long time for a letter to get here… Thank you
for reading my comment. I really appreciate all
you do for the missionaries at the CTM.
Hopefully this will also help other parents
understand the mail situation in Brazil.
|
I am so sorry!
Dear Sister de Paula,
I am so sorry that I posted a request on this
site. I did not realize until after I sent the
message that I am not supposed to request you to
do anything. Please forgive me. Once again,
thank you so much for all you do for all the
missionaries at the CTM.

Week #9 Forgotten?
This is a great service you provide to let our
families at home see our missionaries at work. I
anxiously awaited to see pictures of my son an
his group of missionaries but there are no
pictures for week nine? An oversight maybe? I
would sure like to see his smile! Thank you for
your efforts, maybe week 9 will be found!
|
AGAIN..........
If you "think" there has been an oversight on
district pictures being posted, I remind you -
AGAIN - to read carefully and check BOTH sites
before posting your disheartening comment. Most
districts' pictures are on the site within two
or three days.
|
Thank you!
Elder and Sister DePaula-
You have a very commendable website. Letters
are nice, but it is great to be able to have
pictures to attach to what one of my favorite
people in the world is going through. Thanks
for including me in this wonderful experience!

Looking for a picture!!
This is an awesome site! I happened on to it
just after my son left to the CTM there. I
nearly fell over as I looked through the
pictures and there he was, Kyle Thomas in 10-A
just 2 days after arriving. Anyway, 3 days ago
there was a picture of the CTM presidency and
their wives and now I can't seem to find it to
print it off. Can you help? Thank you Lori Thomas

Thank You
Thank you so much for the time you put into
keeping up this website for family and friends
back home. I was ecstatic to find pictures of
Tyson VanDerwerken's district 4A up soon after
he left for the CTM. It is wonderful to read the
newsletters and get an idea of what is happening
to the missionaries in the CTM in this new stage
of their lives. I am so grateful that you have
done this for all the elders and their families
and that you were still serving when Elder
VanDerwerken was in the CTM. It has really meant
a lot to me to be able to see parts of life in
the CTM. Thank you so much again!

Your site is the greatest
Thank you for the effort you put into this
site. It is so comforting to see our son (TJ
Carter District 7-B) just days after he
arrived. This is a great opportunity for the
parents and families of these missionaries to
actually see what they are experiencing.
Thank you.

District 5B
Hello Sister DePaula,
Would it be possible to see another picture of
the Elders in district 5B before they leave the
CTM? Thank you very much.

thanks
I loved hearing about what going on in the MTC!
My missionary is in the MTC right now and I just
got a letter telling about how great Elder
Nelson's talk was and how inspiring it was, but
it didnt tell anything that he said..so it was
great to hear what he ACTUALLY talked about!
reading the stuff makes me feel like im there to!

What happened to week 11??
Thanks for this great website. I wish you would
have had this site for our two sons that went
through the CTM in Aug-Sep 2001 and July-Aug
2002 although they are enjoying it now that
their youger brother is there. Our son who is
in the CTM now was delayed from the states
three weeks due to his visa and should show up
in week 11 - but, where in the world is week 11?
Thanks, and keep up the good work.

Hello!
Accessed your website through Elder Paul James'
father. What a great treat for the Missionary's
parents to see their sons so soon after arriving
at the MTC! Take good care of Elder James for all
of us at BDL Mill, SLC, UT.
|
I enjoyed looking at your photo gallery. I
especially like the 1st photo. That group of
elders looked happy particularly the elder doing
the "peace sign!"
|
we are sending a missionary down there on may 18th
and are very excited for this experience. his
name is ross stratton. we are sorry to here that
you will not be able to extend although im sure
that your family is very excited. hopefully who

missionaries and seeing the pictures you have
posted. keep up the good work. thanks so much.

Thanks you so much!
Our son, Elder Stephen Tippets, just came to the
CTM on week 12, and it was so neat to be able to
see him pictured with his district, as well as
take a look at the other photos of the
surroundings in the CTM and in Sao Paulo. It
gives us a glimpse of where he is and what it's
like there. What a great service it is for
families. Elder Tippets has 3 younger brothers
at home, and a sister as well! They were so
excited to see a picture of their older
brother! Again, thank you so much for your time
and effort. It has meant so much to our family!
Sincerely,
Laurie Tippets

Thanks for the Pictures
We have very much enjoyed your pictures, tours
and news of the CTM. We have been keenly
interested since our son, Elder Christopher
Harris, District 05-B, has been at the CTM since
February 2, 2005. He will soon be leaving the
CTM. It has been a wonderful experience for him
and he tells us in his emails and letters how
much he is loving his mission. Your website has
made us feel a part of the experiences he has
been going through and certainly closer to him.
To see him in a few of your pictures, healthy and
happy, puts a worried parent's mind at ease.
Thank you so much.

Glad I Found Your Site
De Paula's:
Your site is wonderful. I bumped into it
looking for information about the re-dedication
of the Sao Paulo temple. I was in Sao Paulo &
Rio the summer of 2003 working on a project for
the Church Welfare system, and the temple was
closed for remodeling. I wanted to attend the
dedication more than anything but it wasn't to
be. I'm a veteran of a Brazillian misssion
(Riberao Preto 12/92-94) who drove past the CTM
as it was being built in late 94 on my way home
from my mission. I really related to many of
your experiences and comments. It not only
reminded me of my mission and visit 2 summers
ago, but even now as my family and I just
relocated from American Fork to Austin Texas.
My wife and I hope to have a faithful mission
experience together someday as you have.
Que Deus te abencoe!
Chad Greenleaf
P.S. Best of luck to your daughter...I'm a
cancer and bone marrow transplant survivor
myself and blessings come in amazing ways!

Thank sooo much
Dear Br. and Sis. Depaula. Thanks so much for
your web site. We feel we have gotten a chance
to serve with you.Our sons Elder Tyson and Tyler
Hyer have enjoyed you so much as part of their
MTC experience. Tyler leaves next week for
Floripa. and Tyson leaves in 2 weeks
for "Curitiba. Thanks again for the peek into
their Missions. We will Cherish the memories.
Much Love and Blessings of health with your
release. The Hyer Family. How is your Daughter

THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!
Thank you so much for your wonderful web site. I
hadn't heard from my son for three weeks, but was
able to see his beautiful face on your web site
and see a lot of his mission experience through
pictures. It did so much to calm my heart and I
thank you from the bottom of that same heart.
With much love, Merri JO

Thanks to you & Blessings Too!
How grateful I was to also be able to find my
missionary son, Elder Chad Meyer in District 10B!
What a heartwarming and dedication it is for you
as mission president and mom to watch over these
wave of modern strippling missionaries! Brazil
holds a very special place in our hearts not only
because of my elder being there but his
grandfather served in Brazil during WWII, which
has meant so much to us as a family! I know that
it is out of love and dedication that you have
made such a wonderful site for the families to
visit, bless you and thank you from one very
grateful mom! P.S. If we can help from this end,
I would love to be able to. We live in Mapleton,
Utah and be honored to help as we can, bless all
of you! Set your goals high and reach for the
stars!

great website service
Thank you so much for the opportunity to see
beautiful Sao Paulo, and the CTM. It is so
wonderful to see my missionary and his new
surroundings and know that he is doing great and
in good hands. Many thanks!
|
Thank You
What a great example you have been to all the
missionary parents who are contemplating a mission
of our own. My son just wrote in his letter that
Mom and I should be preparing now. He's right -
and we are doing just that. You have done a
marvelous service for the missionaries and us...
the parents. We wish you all the best and may God
continue to bless you, Bro. DePaula and your
family. Thanks.

Thanks for the extra blessings
Dear Sharon,It looks like I've almost
procrastinated writing until you are about to
come home. But I did want to thankyou so much
for the great web site. The information, stories,
and pictures are like getting extra blessings. I
can't tell you how wonderful and touching it has
been to see Benji and his district in pictures.
It puts him in reality instead of just serving
somewhere out there. Thanks for serving a
mission and always going the extra mile. Hope to
see you at your homecoming whenever that will
be. Love Rusty Parker

THANKYOU!
Hi there, I don;t know if you will remember me,
my son Elder Stephen Ballif ebtered the CTM on
August 11th 2004. You have been so wonderful to
the missionaries, helping to make their
experiences there fantastic and so memorable.
We have loved all of the wonderful pictures that
you have posted on your website and have really
enjoyed reading your comments too. I know that
your mission is coming to an end over there and
I know you live in Highland. We live in Spanish
Fork and I was wondering if I could possibly
slip in to hear your home coming talks?
PLEASE!!!! I would love to meet you and thank
you in person.
SINCERELY,
Jacaline Ballif

Photos of Friends
I just wanted to thank you for the website. I
was recently called to the Londrina Brazil
mission and wanted to know more about the Sao
Paulo MTC. Your site has helped me visualize the
great spiritual atmosphere i will be entering. I
really appreciate the photos too, its good to
see some of my friends that are already there.
Congratulations on completing your mission as
well, my hope now is that this site lives on
with the next missionary. Thanks for the site!
I'll be there in 12 weeks!

thank you
Thank you so much for sharing the beautiful
sights of Brazil, MTC and wonderful wholesome
happy young men and young women serving at the
MTC. I will probably never get to Brazil so
thank you for sharing your narratives and
pictures. I can see that the missionaries are
happy and ok. Thank you.

would you speak to prospective sr. couples?
D
ear Bro. & Sis. de Paula: Just a quick note to s
ay how much I have enjoyed reading your website. D
id you ever know Valerio Kikuchi? He served as a c
ounselor in the MTC, but I'm not sure exactly w
hen that was. He was one of my first zone l
eaders in Portugal when we served as m
issionaries. Or perhaps you know Milton da Rocha C
amargo, who I believe also served as a c
ounselor, and was called to be an area authority s
eventy at the most recent general conference. We s
erved as companions in Porto, in the north of P
ortugal. Anyway, back to my question. Would you b
e available to speak to prospective sr. couples? I
just thought that hearing your mission e
xperiences might be just the right thing for s
omeone thinking of missionary service. Let me k
now back if you would. P.S. my son served in the S
ao Paulo East mission from 1999 to 2001 and we d
id come to pick him up. It was fun to read that w
e have visited some of the same places, i.e. G
uaruja, Santos, Iguacu Falls, Curitiba, Rio, C
ampos do Jordao, etc. My son, Jeremy Leavitt had a
companion from Curitiba named Toporoski (his d
ad served with me in Portugal) maybe Bro. de P
aula knows the family? I hope that you can r
espond or maybe even call me. My home # is (801) 2
54-5047 in South Jordan or just e-mail me back. S
orry to leave such a long note, but I would be p
leased to speak with you. Thank you,

question
My friend Kay Stephan told me that there was a
possibility that someone might continue updating
this website with pictures of the new
missionaries at the MTC. It looks like that is
not the case. We saw her son Sean on this
website and now I have a son who has been there
4 days. It would be great to see a picture of
him there. Is this a possibility? Linda Hunt

Hello from Eddy
Hello there Elder and Sister De Paula. Would you
write me back and let me know what is going on
with your life now that you're back. I'd love to
hear from you.
I love this website. There are so many good
memories I have from my time working at the MTC.
May God bless you! I hope you'll volunteer for
another mission in Brazil in the near future.
All my love and prayers.

Makes me feel closer to my son
This is a choice site that you have created. I
am so disappointed that you are already gone as
my son flies into SAo Paulo tonight to enter the
CTM. This makes me feel a little closer to him,
however, as I see a little of what he will be
experiencing. Do you know if anyone will put
any pictures on a website now that you're gone?
Best wishes as you return to your family, ward,
etc. I'm sure you will be missed in Sao Paulo!
|
Thank you for you website
Thank you for sharing this website. Our son
David just arrive at the Sau Paulo MTC this
morning. I was told about your site and it has
really helped me feel closer to our son by
seeing the pictures and reading about your
experiences. Elder Mayfield will be serving in
Florianapolis. Thank you!

Allen and Nancy Ostergar
Hello,
I'm just writing to say hello to my Uncle Allen
and Aunt Nancy!! I was just searching around the
internet and was wondering how you were doing. I
know you are down in Brazil, so I just wanted to
say hi! The family is doing well, John's son
Luka is growing like a weed! He's so cute. If
you are able to send email addresses of my
cousins, I'd love to say hello to them. John is
all over the States with his work so if he is
close to them maybe he could give them a shout.
It would be great to be able to keep in touch
with them. I had better wrap this up now, the
hockey game is on! ha ha (Toronto Maple Leafs vs
Montreal Canadians). Us Canadians and our hockey
eh? I look forward hearing from you and keep up
the good work in Brazil. :)
Love ya,
Leslie
